Ski jackets and snowboard jackets

When you ski or snowboard, wind chill is one of the biggest causes of the cold effect. To keep you warm, it is therefore important to have a ski jacket that is windproof. Then you can choose whether you want a shell jacket and dress in layers underneath, or if you prefer a warmer, lined jacket. What feels best is entirely individual. There is no right or wrong.

Ski jackets for beginners and pros

Are you a beginner looking to buy your first ski jacket, or are you going away for an entire season, for example? These might require slightly different types of jackets. Regardless, we have the jacket for you! There are a plethora of jackets on the market; it's just about finding the right one!

If you need help choosing a ski jacket, you can read our buying guide. There you'll find good tips and advice on what to consider. Still feeling unsure? We are available by email or phone for extra help. We are more than happy to assist! For us, you, the customer, are the most important!

Stay warm and comfortable with a good ski jacket

As mentioned earlier, a major cause of the cold effect is the wind chill when you're skiing. This makes having a windproof jacket one of the most important aspects. Of course, different times of the season may require slightly different things. On a warm spring day, a lined hoodie might be enough, but it won't work as well on a cold winter day.

Another thing to consider is breathability and waterproofing. All ski jackets in our range offer good breathability and waterproofing. Do you ski one week a year and perhaps not full days when the weather is worse? Or are you the first out and the last in from the slopes, regardless of the weather? If you belong to the latter category, you probably demand a bit more from your garment. In that case, it might be worth paying a few extra kronor to get a jacket with slightly higher waterproofing.

Ski jackets with ventilation

Many jackets have ventilation that can be opened, for example, under the arms. This allows you to regulate your temperature throughout the day. Often it can be really cold in the morning, only to become significantly warmer during the day. Then it's nice to be able to ventilate a bit extra in the afternoon.

Lined ski jacket

So, how much lining should my jacket have? As mentioned, it's a matter of taste. If you want to dress in layers underneath and have a jacket that is therefore very adaptable, a shell jacket is probably preferable. If you get cold easily, for example, or don't want to bother with too many layers, then a lined jacket is probably something for you.

A snow skirt is another good feature that most ski jackets have. It keeps snow out if you fall, and it also helps to seal out the cold wind from blowing up under the jacket.
