Here you will find our range from Extrem. The story begins in 1981 when two young pioneers, Stefan Cederberg and Patrik Söderlund, built their first snowboards in a garage on Frösön. Inspired by American snowboarders, they created something completely unique – a project driven by curiosity, creativity, and a love for snow.
As the snowboard wave grew during the 90s, so did Extrem. From a garage to a factory in Åre, from a hobby to a brand. In 1993, Extrem Snowboards of Scandinavia was founded, and five years later, their first skis were produced – the first in Sweden in 25 years. Since then, Extrem has continued to challenge norms and drive Swedish ski development forward.
From snowsurfing to world-leading ski factory
Today, Extrem's skis are produced at Åre Skidfabrik, one of the world's most sustainable ski factories. Here, technology, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility meet in perfect balance. The factory is powered by renewable energy, uses recyclable materials, and strives to reduce its climate footprint at every step.
Extrem is still an independent brand with a clear philosophy – to create skis for riders who love the mountains and the community around them. All models are developed and tested together with dedicated skiers, resulting in products that feel alive, well-balanced, and created for real conditions.
