Capita Snowboards: where passion becomes products
Capita started in a garage in Seattle. Founders Blue Montgomery and Jason Brown wanted to create something of their own. Boards built by people who actually lived the snowboarding lifestyle. This was immediately evident in both design and feel. They focused on boards that stood out and quickly gathered a loyal following of riders who appreciated their creative style.
The challenges were many at the beginning, but the will was greater. When Capita later moved production to Austria, development truly accelerated.
The Mothership: a home for innovation and clean energy
When the previous factory closed down, Capita made a bold decision. They bought the entire facility and rebuilt it from the ground up. The result was The Mothership. The world's first snowboard factory powered entirely by self-produced, clean energy.
Production is carbon-neutral. Materials are carefully selected. Quality is consistent and high. The factory has also been recognized for its sustainability efforts and is a major reason why Capita is one of the most respected brands in the industry.
Snowboards with character and performance
Every Capita board is built to return energy to your riding. Graphics and design are an important part of the identity, but technology always takes center stage. The brand is known for responsive profiles, strong constructions, and models that perform in many types of terrain.
Popular series like Defenders of Awesome, Mercury, and Spring Break clearly demonstrate their breadth. Everything from park and jibbing to deep powder runs and long days all over the mountain.
