Bula – colour, warmth, and a relaxed attitude
Bula was born in 1983 when two American skiers got stuck in Fiji on their way home from a training camp. There, they were inspired by the joyful lifestyle and vibrant colours. The name roughly translates to "good life" and "happiness." That feeling became the core of their first beanies and headbands.
Word quickly spread. Soon, the American ski team was wearing Bula at competitions around the world. This gave the brand a boost that led to its products appearing on many ski slopes during the 80s and 90s.
Colour and function in a perfect mix
Their style is easy to recognise. Warm materials, comfortable fit, and patterns that stand out in just the right way. The goal is always the same: to provide warmth and comfort whether you're skiing, hiking, or just want a comfortable basic garment for winter.
Since the move to Canada, much of the assortment is manufactured in Montreal. There, the brand continues to develop beanies, balaclavas, base layers, and gloves. All with the same playful tone that has been present since the beginning.
