Grind the edges for better grip
Sharp steel edges provide better grip on harder surfaces and more control in turns. With a file, you can easily keep your edges in top condition!
- Sharpen regularly to prevent the edges from becoming too dull.
- Use a diamond file to fine-tune and remove imperfections.
How often you should have your skis serviced and sharpened depends on how much you ski, but at least once per season is recommended to keep them in top condition. A professional sharpening evens out the edges, refreshes the base, and provides a new structure – which not only improves glide but also makes the skis much easier to maintain.

Wax for better glide & protection
Ski bases wear down and dry out over time, causing them to lose their glide and become harder to turn. By regularly waxing your skis, you ensure that:
- The glide becomes better and more consistent.
- You protect the base from drying out and wear.
- The skis feel more responsive.
- Use a plexi scraper to remove old wax.
- Brush the base with a nylon brush to open up the structure.
- Apply new wax and scrape off the excess. For even better glide, brush the ski with a fine brush.
There are two different types of wax: liquid wax and paraffin. You heat paraffin wax into the base with a waxing iron, while liquid wax is applied and then brushed out.

Keep your skis in top shape!
With the right tools, ski care becomes easy and provides you with better glide, sharper edges, and a longer lifespan for your skis. We recommend you have the following tools to keep your skis in top condition:
- Wax – Improves glide and protects the base.
- Edge tuner and file - Keeps edges sharp for best grip
- Scraper - Removes excess wax after application.
- Brush - Polishes the base and brings out the structure.
- Diamond stone - Fine-tunes edges and removes imperfections.

Store your skis correctly
When the season is over or you take a break from skiing, it's important to store your skis correctly. The easiest way to avoid rust and drying out is to:
- Apply a layer of storage wax and do not scrape it off.
- Store the skis in a dry place, not in damp basements or cold garages.
- Ensure that the steel edges are dry to avoid rust.
